About Lauran
Lauran Beluzo is a powerhouse vocalist, songwriter, educator, and performer known for her emotional, timeless tone and genre-blending style that bridges pop, soul, R&B, and jazz. Raised in Western Massachusetts, Lauran began singing publicly at just six years old as part of a local music group, captivating audiences with songs well beyond her years. Her early musical influences include iconic vocalists like Whitney Houston, Cher, Celine Dion, Dusty Springfield, and her greatest inspiration of all time, Donny Hathaway.
Lauran’s passion led her to New York City to pursue her dreams, where she was signed to a music publishing and production company at just 19 years old. Formerly known as Elle B, she immersed herself in the rich world of gospel and R&B, deeply inspired by artists like Jazmine Sullivan, Adele, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and Olivia Rodrigo. A defining moment in her journey was performing on the legendary stage of the Apollo Theater—an honor made even more meaningful knowing that her idols, Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James, once stood in that very spotlight.
Lauran’s talent has garnered national recognition in the music industry. She made her television debut as a Golden Ticket Winner on American Idol in 2018. She went on to reach #1 on the Billboard Smooth Jazz charts twice: first in 2022 with “I’ll Be The One” by Le Sonic ft. Lauran Beluzo & Robert Lee, and again in 2024 with “Take It or Leave It” by Le Sonic ft. Lauran Beluzo. She was also nominated for Best Smooth Jazz Artist of the Year in 2022 by the Smooth Jazz Network.
In 2023, Lauran earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Berklee College of Music, and in 2025, she completed her Master’s Degree from Teachers College, Columbia University. She currently serves as a dedicated K–5 music teacher and grades 3–5 chorus director in Springfield, Massachusetts, bringing her love of music and education together in the classroom.
Whether through gritty growls or heart-wrenching ballads, Lauran delivers a soulful and unforgettable performance every time she takes the stage. Her original music draws on personal trauma, self-worth, and the challenges of being a young woman in today’s world—woven together with melancholy melodies and the promise of new beginnings.
" I vow to perform every song as if it were my last."
